This learning event comprises an orientation, eight practical modules and a course review.

For those who want to be able to optimise their sandgardening – or to those who want to base their own enterprise on iAVs -Questionnaires and Learning Journals will be made available when the course goes online.

This part of the course serves as an introduction. It will provide you with the basic knowledge you need to understand the subsequent practical modules. It is important to read this section and make sure that you understand the ideas before you start the more difficult parts of the course.
Module 1 – Sand
Sand is not just the most effective growing media ever devised, it’s central to our existence. No sand – no civilisation! This section addresses the media upon which the world is based.
Sand is an incredibly important material for the survival of humans, and not just for growing plants. Sand has been used and is still an important material for building structures and roads. It is also an integral part of many everyday objects like electronics and glass. Without sand, we wouldn’t be able to do many of the things that are essential for our civilizations.
